  • Count objects one-to-one, up to 30, and state the total.
  • Show that object count stays the same regardless of arrangement or order.
  • Represent forward counting by ones with five-frames, ten-frames, and number paths.
  • Count forward orally by ones from 0 to 100.
  • Count forward orally by ones within 100 from any starting number.
  • Count backward orally by ones from any number from 1 to 20.
  • State the number after a given number from 0 to 30, without counting.
  • State the number before a given number from 1 to 20, without counting.
  • Compose and decompose numbers 11-19 into a ten and some ones.
  • Group up to 100 objects into tens and count to find the total.
  • K.NS.2 Identify, represent, and compare quantities up to 30.
  • Read, write, and identify numerals 0 through 30.
  • Build a set matching a given numeral within 30, including an empty set.
  • Write the numeral matching the count of a set up to 30.
  • Build a set with more, fewer, or the same objects as a given set.
  • Build a set with more, fewer, or the same objects as a given numeral.
  • Compare two sets up to 30 using more, fewer, or the same.
  • Compare numbers up to 30 to benchmarks 5 and 10 using models and symbols.

Computation and Estimation (CE)

  • K.CE.1 Model and solve single-step addition and subtraction problems within 10, including in context.
  • Compose and decompose numbers up to 5 in multiple ways.
  • Describe part-part-whole relationships for numbers up to 5 fluently.
  • Identify the number that makes 5 when added to a given number.
  • Compose and decompose numbers up to 10 in multiple ways.
  • Identify the number that makes 10 when added to a given number.
  • Solve single-step join, separate, and part-part-whole problems using up to 10 objects.

Measurement and Geometry (MG)

  • K.MG.1 Reason by directly comparing two objects or events by length, height, weight, volume, or time.
  • Compare two objects, containers or events using terms such as longer/shorter, taller, heavier, more/less.
  • K.MG.2 Identify, describe, name, compare, and construct circles, triangles, squares, and rectangles.
  • Identify and name circles, triangles, squares, and rectangles in any orientation.
  • Describe triangles, squares, and rectangles by number of sides and vertices.
  • Describe a circle using terms like round and curved.
  • Distinguish examples from nonexamples of these plane figures.
  • Compare and contrast two plane figures by their characteristics.
  • Construct these plane figures using materials like straws or pipe cleaners.
  • K.MG.3 Describe the units of time shown on a calendar.
  • Identify a calendar as a tool for measuring time.
  • Name the days of the week and know that a week has seven days.
  • Determine the day before and after a given day.
  • Name the twelve months and know that a year has twelve months.
  • Distinguish between days of the week and months of the year.

Probability and Statistics (PS)

  • K.PS.1 Apply the data cycle using object graphs and picture graphs.
  • Sort concrete objects into subsets based on one attribute.
  • Describe and label attributes of a sorted set of objects.
  • Pose questions needing data, limited to 25 points and four categories.
  • Determine needed data and collect it using methods like counting or drawing.
  • Organize data by sorting objects into groups to form an object graph.
  • Organize data using pictures to form a simple picture graph.
  • Analyze object and picture graphs and communicate results.

Patterns, Functions, and Algebra (PFA)
