What you’ll learn

Read the transcript

The Year Planner plans a whole year of lessons that fits your school's real calendar. Press Start planning. First, choose the course: your country or nation, the subject, and the year group, grade or qualification.

That includes GCSE boards and tiers, A levels, AP and US state courses. Next, your dates. We fill in a typical school year, worked out by rule, so check every date against your school's own calendar.

Change the first and last days, and add holidays, inset days and trips. Then set your timetable: the lesson length, and how many lessons you have each day. If your school runs a two-week timetable, tick the box and enter week A and week B.

Add any assessment or revision weeks, and press Make my year plan. On the free plan, you'll see the lessons for the first half term, and the coverage check for the whole year. In the next video, we'll change the plan and export it.

Try the Year Planner now at lessonplanner.info. It's free, and you don't need an account.
