How to use the weekly template
- Write a subject or period in the first column of each row (Math, Reading, Period 3…).
- In each day, note the objective, the main activity and any homework. Keep it short: the weekly plan is an overview.
- What you type is saved in this browser, so you can come back and finish it later.
- Press Print for a landscape page, or Word (.docx) to edit it in Word or Google Docs.
Want full daily plans that roll up into a week? Use the lesson plan maker's Week view: write a detailed plan for each lesson, give it a date, and the week view lays them out Monday to Friday. It can copy a whole week forward too.
Frequently asked questions
What is a weekly lesson plan?
A one-page overview of every lesson in a week, usually with subjects or periods down the side and days across the top. It shows the sequence of learning at a glance.
Can I print the weekly lesson plan template blank?
Yes. Press Print without typing anything and the empty grid prints ready to fill in by hand.
Is a weekly plan enough on its own?
Many schools accept a weekly overview for routine lessons and a daily plan for observed or new lessons. Check what your school expects.
