Class Screen

Everything for the board on one page: timer, name picker, noise meter, groups, clock and your instructions. Turn panels on or off; your layout is remembered on this device.

Class lists, layout and notes stay in this browser. The noise meter measures loudness on this device only; nothing is recorded or sent. Use first names or numbers only.

How to use the Class Screen

  1. Choose your panels. Tap the buttons along the top to show or hide the timer, name picker, noise meter, groups, clock and instructions. Use the arrows on each panel to change the order.
  2. Add your class. Press Class list and paste your names. Save a list for each class; the picker and groups use the one you choose.
  3. Go full screen. The controls fade back so the board stays clean. Press Esc to leave full screen.

Ideas for using it

  • Do Now: instructions on the left, a 5-minute timer beside them, the clock for late arrivals.
  • Group work: make groups, start a 15-minute timer and turn on the noise meter.
  • Cold calling: the name picker with "no repeats" makes sure everyone gets a turn.

Privacy

The layout, your instructions and class lists are saved in this browser only. The noise meter measures loudness on this device: sound is never recorded, stored or sent. No adverts appear on this page, so nothing unexpected shows up on the board.

Frequently asked questions

What is a class screen?

A full-screen classroom dashboard shown on the board, with tools such as a timer, name picker and noise meter side by side, so you don't have to switch between tabs during a lesson.

Will my layout be saved?

Yes. The panels you show, their order and your instructions are saved in this browser and come back next time you open the page on the same device.

Does the noise meter record the class?

No. It only measures how loud the room is, on this device, while it is switched on. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent.

Is this the same as Classroomscreen?

No. This is an independent, free tool from Classfern with no account. Classroomscreen is a separate product from another company.
