The standards (our summaries)
Oregon's official codes with our own short summaries (not the official wording). Each code links to the official document.
Algebraic Reasoning: Expressions and Equations (AEE)
- 7.AEE.A.1 Use the associative, commutative and distributive properties to write equivalent expressions with rational numbers.
- 7.AEE.A.2 See that rewriting an expression in a different form can show how the quantities in a problem relate.
- 7.AEE.B.3 Write and solve real problems with positive and negative rationals using one- or two-step linear equations.
- 7.AEE.B.4 Use variables to build and solve one- and two-step linear inequalities with positive rationals.
Proportional Reasoning: Ratios and Proportions (RP)
- 7.RP.A.1 Solve real problems with unit rates from ratios of fractions.
- 7.RP.A.2 Spot proportional relationships in tables, graphs, equations, diagrams and descriptions and find the constant of proportionality.
- 7.RP.A.3 Use proportional reasoning to solve real ratio and percent problems.
- 7.RP.B.4 Know probability is a number from 0 to 1 for how likely an event is, written as a fraction, decimal or percent.
- 7.RP.B.5 Use experimental data and theoretical probability to make predictions, knowing they may not be exact.
- 7.RP.B.6 Build a probability model, compare theoretical and experimental results and explain differences.
- 7.RP.B.7 Find probabilities of compound events with organized lists, tables, tree diagrams and simulation.
Numeric Reasoning: Number Systems (NS)
Geometric Reasoning and Measurement (GM)
- 7.GM.A.1 Solve scale drawing problems, redraw at another scale and find actual lengths and areas.
- 7.GM.A.2 Draw triangles from three given angles or sides and decide whether they make one, many or no triangles.
- 7.GM.B.3 Understand how a circle's area and circumference relate and choose formulas using radius or diameter.
- 7.GM.B.4 Use angle-pair facts (supplementary, complementary, vertical, adjacent) in multistep problems to find missing angles.
- 7.GM.B.5 Solve real problems with flat and solid figures, using given formulas for area, volume and surface area.
Data Reasoning (DR)
- 7.DR.A.1 Pose summary and comparison questions about a population, knowing a sample is valid only if representative.
- 7.DR.B.1 Use data from a random sample to compare and make inferences about an unknown feature of a population. (being checked)
- 7.DR.C.2 Compare two data distributions visually using several measures of center and variability.
- 7.DR.D.4 Interpret center and variability from random samples to compare two populations. (being checked)
