Number Sense and Operations in Fractions (NF), cluster B

  • 4.NF.B.4 See adding and subtracting fractions as joining and separating parts of one whole.
  • 4.NF.B.5 Split a fraction into a sum of same-denominator fractions and record each split with an equation and reasons.
  • 4.NF.B.6 Solve problems that add or subtract like-denominator fractions and mixed numbers.
  • 4.NF.B.7 Extend multiplication to multiplying a fraction by a whole number.
  • 4.NF.B.8 Solve problems that multiply a fraction by a whole number.

Number Sense and Operations in Fractions (NF), cluster C

  • 4.RA.A.2 Solve multi-step whole-number problems with variables and check answers by estimating.
  • 4.RA.A.3 Solve division problems with variables where the remainder must be interpreted, and justify.

Relationships and Algebraic Thinking (RA), cluster B

  • 4.RA.B.4 Know every factor of a whole number divides it evenly, so the number is a multiple of it; list multiples of a number.
  • 4.RA.B.5 Decide whether numbers within 100 are prime or composite and find all their factor pairs.

Relationships and Algebraic Thinking (RA), cluster C

  • 4.RA.C.6 Make a number pattern from a given rule.
