- 6.1.1.3 Understand percent as a rate per 100.
- 6.1.1.4 Convert between fractions, decimals and percents and choose the best form for a problem.
- 6.1.1.5 Write whole numbers as products of primes using exponents.
- 6.1.1.6 Find greatest common factors and least common multiples and use them with fractions.
- 6.1.1.7 Convert between equivalent forms of positive rational numbers.
- 6.1.2.1 Use ratios to compare quantities and know ratio comparison differs from subtraction.
- 6.1.2.2 Use ratios, equivalent fractions and percents to solve mixture and concentration problems.
- 6.1.2.3 Find rates comparing quantities in different units.
- 6.1.2.4 Use multiplicative reasoning to solve ratio and rate problems.
- 6.1.3.1 Multiply and divide decimals and fractions with efficient general methods such as standard algorithms.
- 6.1.3.2 Justify fraction multiplication and division methods using operation meanings and inverses.
- 6.1.3.3 Find a percent of a number and what percent one number is of another.
- 6.1.3.4 Solve real and mathematical problems with decimals, fractions and mixed numbers.
- 6.1.3.5 Estimate answers with whole numbers, fractions and decimals to check reasonableness.
Strand 2: Algebra
- 6.2.1.1 Understand that a variable can stand for a quantity that changes, often with another quantity.
- 6.2.1.2 Represent relationships between two varying quantities with rules, graphs and tables and move between them.
- 6.2.2.1 Use properties of operations and order of operations to write equivalent expressions.
- 6.2.3.1 Represent situations with equations and inequalities involving positive rational numbers.
- 6.2.3.2 Solve equations with positive rational numbers by keeping them balanced and check answers in context.

- 6.3.1.1 Find surface area and volume of prisms with correct units, justifying formulas with nets or decomposition.
- 6.3.1.2 Find areas of quadrilaterals and explain why the formulas work.
- 6.3.1.3 Estimate perimeter and area of irregular shapes on a grid with correct units.
- 6.3.2.1 Solve problems using angle relationships formed by intersecting lines.
- 6.3.2.2 Use the 180° triangle angle sum to find missing angles.
- 6.3.2.3 Develop polygon angle-sum formulas by splitting polygons into triangles.
- 6.3.3.1 Convert units of weight, capacity, length and time within and between systems in context.
- 6.3.3.2 Estimate weights, capacities and lengths using familiar benchmarks and suitable units.
Strand 4: Data Analysis & Probability
- 6.4.1.1 List the sample space with trees, tables or pictures and identify outcomes in an event.
- 6.4.1.2 Find probability as the size of an event over the size of the sample space, from 0 to 1.
- 6.4.1.3 Do experiments with known probabilities and compare relative frequencies, knowing they may differ.
- 6.4.1.4 Find experimental probabilities from trials and use them to predict when theoretical ones are unknown.
