  • K.OA.A.2 Add and subtract within 10 and use these operations to solve everyday problems.
  • K.OA.A.3 Break numbers up to 10 into two parts in several ways, shown with objects, drawings or equations.
  • K.OA.A.4 For any number 1–9, find the amount that must be added to reach 10.
  • K.OA.A.5 Add and subtract within 5 quickly and flexibly using accurate, efficient strategies.

Numeric Reasoning: Counting and Cardinality (NCC)

  • K.NCC.A.1 Count aloud to 100 in ones and in tens.
  • K.NCC.A.2 Count on from any given number up to 100.
  • K.NCC.A.3 Name, write and count numbers 0–20 and write the numeral for a group of objects.
  • K.NCC.B.4 Understand that numbers stand for amounts and link counting to how many objects there are.
  • K.NCC.B.5 Count to answer "how many?" for up to 20 objects in different arrangements and count out a requested number.
  • K.NCC.C.6 Decide whether one group has more, fewer or the same number of objects as another.
  • K.NCC.C.7 Compare two written numerals between 1 and 10.

Numeric Reasoning: Base Ten Arithmetic (NBT)

  • K.GM.A.2 Name common flat and solid shapes correctly whatever their size or which way they face.
  • K.GM.A.3 Sort shapes into two-dimensional (flat) and three-dimensional (solid).
  • K.GM.B.4 Compare flat and solid shapes of different sizes and orientations using everyday describing words.
  • K.GM.B.5 Model real-world shapes by building them from parts and by drawing them.
  • K.GM.B.6 Put simple shapes together to make larger shapes.
  • K.GM.C.7 Describe several measurable features of one object, such as length or weight.
  • K.GM.C.8 Compare two objects side by side on a shared measurable feature and say which has more or less.

Data Reasoning (DR)

  • K.DR.A.1 Ask questions about the classroom that can be answered by sorting and counting data.
  • K.DR.B.2 Count the objects in each group and interpret the results by ordering the groups by count.
