Scores are shown simply as the number right out of the number of questions (for example, 18 out of 25), with an explanation for every question. We never give an IQ number, a percentile or a label, and we never compare you with other people.

About these tests
Many grammar schools and some local authorities in England and Northern Ireland use an 11+ test, often including verbal and non-verbal reasoning. GL Assessment, which writes many 11+ tests, says its practice papers cover verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, English and maths, that its tests are multiple-choice, and that tests vary from area to area. Our practice covers the reasoning parts only.
How to use these tests
- Each test picks 20–25 questions at random from a bank of 40 or more, so you can try again and get a different set. There is no time limit unless you choose one. Use the explanations at the end to learn the rule behind each puzzle.
