How do I pick a random name without repeats?
Open the random name picker, add your class list and press Pick a name. “No repeats until everyone is picked” is on by default.
Step by step
- Open the random name picker.
- Add or choose your class list.
- Press Pick a name. The picker shows how many are still to pick.
- When everyone has been picked, press Start again.
- Untick No repeats until everyone is picked if names may come up again.
- Use the full-screen button to show it on the board.

Is it really random?
Yes. The picker uses your browser’s secure random numbers, so every remaining name has the same chance.
I can’t hear any sound
Check the tool’s sound button is on, your device isn’t muted and the volume is up. Browsers only play sound after you have clicked or tapped on the page at least once. On an iPhone, the silent switch can mute web pages.
Full screen doesn’t work on my iPhone
iPhones don’t let web pages go truly full screen. The tool fills the browser window instead. Turn the phone sideways and use the browser’s reader or zoom options for more room. On an iPad, full screen works in recent versions of Safari.
