How do I make random groups or teams?
Open the random group generator, choose a number of groups or a group size, and press Make groups. Group sizes never differ by more than one.
Step by step
- Open the random group generator.
- Choose your class list.
- Choose a number of groups or groups of a size, and set the number.
- Press Make groups. Press it again for a new mix.
- Use Copy to paste the groups elsewhere, or Print.
Questions and fixes
The Copy button says copying was blocked
Some browsers only allow copying after you click on the page, and some school settings block the clipboard. Click once on the page and try again, or use the download option instead.
My work has gone, or isn’t there on another computer
Your class lists is saved in this browser on this device only – nothing is stored with us, so we can’t get it back for you. It won’t appear in a different browser, on another device, or in a private (incognito) window, and clearing your browser’s history or “site data” deletes it. Some school computers clear everything when you log off.
