How do I fill in a printable template on screen?

Click on any box on the template and type. What you type saves in this browser, and you can print it or download it as Word when you are done.

Step by step

  1. Open a template, for example the teacher planner, sub plan template or scheme of work template.
  2. Click into a box and type. Pasted text is turned into plain text so the layout stays tidy.
  3. For templates with several pages, use the page tabs to move between them.
  4. Press Print (or Print this page), Print all pages, or Word (.docx).
  5. To empty the template, press Clear and confirm.

Questions and fixes

My work has gone, or isn’t there on another computer

What you type on a template is saved in this browser on this device only – nothing is stored with us, so we can’t get it back for you. It won’t appear in a different browser, on another device, or in a private (incognito) window, and clearing your browser’s history or “site data” deletes it. Some school computers clear everything when you log off.

The printout is cut off or has the wrong margins

In the print window, set the scale to “Default” or “Fit to page”, keep margins on “Default”, and check the paper size (A4 in the UK, Letter in the US). Turning on “Background graphics” keeps coloured boxes and shading.

It looks squashed on my phone

Everything works on phones, but tools with wide tables are easier on a tablet or computer. Turn your phone sideways for more room, or pinch to zoom. Downloads and printing also work from a phone.
