How do I plan a lesson straight from a TIP?
Press Plan beside one statement, or tick several and press Plan a lesson from ticked. The Lesson Plan Maker opens with a new plan and those statements already in it.
Step by step
- Open your pack from Get a TIP.
- For one statement, press the Plan button next to it.
- For several, tick them, then press Plan a lesson from ticked in the bar at the bottom.
- The Lesson Plan Maker opens with a new plan. The statements are in the standards or objectives box, and the subject and year are filled in.
- Carry on planning as normal. It saves in this browser.
Questions and fixes
The plan opened empty
The statements are passed to the planner inside this browser. If storage is blocked (for example in a private window), they travel in the page address instead; don’t edit the address before the planner opens. Try again in a normal browser window.
It says it can’t save, or my work disappears when I close the page
Your browser is blocking storage. This happens in private or incognito windows, when cookies and site data are blocked for the site, and on some managed school devices. Open the page in a normal window, or allow site data for this site in your browser settings. Until then, keep a copy by downloading or printing before you close the page.
