What does Classfern store on my device, and how do I clear it?
Everything you make with the free tools (plans, class lists, ticks, templates, risk assessments) is stored in your browser’s local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to us. To remove it, delete the site data for lessonplanner.info in your browser settings – back up first.
Step by step
- Before clearing, download backups: My plans → Download backup, and Download backup in the Risk Assessment Maker.
- In Chrome or Edge: click the icon at the left of the address bar, then Site settings (or Cookies and site data), then Delete data.
- In Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data, search for lessonplanner.info, Remove.
- In Firefox: click the padlock, then Clear cookies and site data.
- See the full list of what is stored on the cookies and local storage page.
Questions and fixes
Does Classfern use cookies to track me?
The tools don’t. Adverts from Google may use cookies if you accept them; you can change your choice with Privacy and cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Pro members see no adverts.
Can you restore my data?
No. We never receive it, so there is nothing on our side to restore. That is why backups matter.
