How does the Exchange Finder work for teacher exchanges and class twinning?
The Exchange Finder is a noticeboard where members find partner teachers or schools for visits, job-shadowing, virtual exchanges and class twinning. It is teacher to teacher only; pupils never contact each other through Classfern.
Step by step
- Log in and open the Exchange Finder.
- Browse listings, or post your own with Post an exchange listing, choosing one of the “Exchange –” types.
- Give a city and region only, never a street address, and get permission from your head teacher or employer first.
- For visas and formal programmes, read the official routes.
Questions and fixes
Does Classfern arrange the exchange or check people?
No. Classfern is a noticeboard. We don’t arrange visas, jobs, accommodation or safeguarding checks. The host school decides what checks a visitor needs.
Can I share pupils’ work with the partner class?
Only with your school’s permission and through your school’s approved tools, without names or faces unless both schools’ consent rules allow it.
